Monroe Harding seeks an Administrative Assistant to provide support for our administrative and fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the donor database (Salesforce software). This includes entering potential donors, recording donations, contact information, and tracking this data, generating basic reports, and generating donor thank you letters and honorarium/memorial acknowledgements.

 

  • Records all contributions received. This includes coding these gifts for the Finance office, logging these donations in the constituent database, forwarding the checks to the Administrative Assistant to deposit, and producing a monthly report detailing types of solicitations made during the month and the revenue generated.

 

  • Produce and mail donor acknowledgement letters.

 

  • Respond to phone inquiries for the CEO.

 

  • Manage the CEO’s calendar of appointments.

 

  • Compose and prepare correspondence that is sometimes confidential.

 

  • Construct effective board communications including Board Meeting packets and an effective scribe able to produce quality board minutes.

 

  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas.

 

  • Conduct general correspondence including mailing general correspondence, but not limited to appeals, thank you letters, surveys, donor updates, newsletters, and maintaining mailing lists.

 

  • Greet visitors and distribute mail as needed

 

  • Assist with grant requests, corporate sponsorship requests and other proposals as assigned.

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree and one-year experience in donor relations and special events.  Experience with Salesforce database.
